Hundreds of people came together over the weekend to help people with autism feel more accepted.
Family Initiative teamed up with the School District of Lee County, The Lee County Sheriff's Office, Thrive Academy and Christ Community Church for its Autism Acceptance Family Fun Day on Saturday.
More than 400 people went to Nan's Ranch to enjoy animals, activities, food trucks, bounce houses and more.
April is Autism Acceptance Month and year-round, Family Initiative works to make sure kids, teens and families can stay connected and get the support they need.
They will culminate the month at their Autism Acceptance Awards Gala at the Luminary Hotel on April 26.
