A person is missing after officials said they were last seen riding a Jet Ski at Lazy Springs Recreation Park, which is on the Lee County, Hendry County line near Lehigh Acres.
Multiple agencies began searching for the missing Jet skier Sunday evening. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) was on the scene with the Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) assisting.
LCSO said they sent their marine unit and dive team to use underwater drones in efforts to find the missing person, who was last seen riding a jet ski.
When crews arrived on the scene, they saw search teams and boats on the water with a large deputy presence on site, with lights illuminating the water around the park.
Lazy Springs is a popular park where people ride UTVs, jet skis, and kayaks. FWC is investigating, and LCSO is assisting as they work to search for the jet skier.
