A man was arrested on Monday after being accused of illegally dumping trash on the side of the road in Port Charlotte.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, Mauricio Cortes Mira, 27, was found to have dumped water heater boxes, empty kitchen and bathroom faucet boxes, PVC and copper scrap, and other plumbing material on Gibbon Street.
Sheriff Bill Prummell said, "Charlotte County is paradise, and we aim to keep it that way. Consider this a warning to anyone else who thinks they can dump their garbage in my county."
