Fort Myers police swarmed The Carlton apartment complex in response to a shooting late Thursday night.
Investigators were focused on the second floor of building four. That's where they were taking photos and gathering evidence.
There was also a crime scene unit there.
People who live in the complex on Plantation Rd. say police arrived just before midnight and they saw a helicopter circling the area.
Our reporters say they saw one person being detained.
