Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Fort Myers for the Edison Festival: Grand Parade of Light , the largest night parade in the Southeast United States, honoring inventor Thomas Edison.
The illuminated spectacle took place on Saturday, February 15, and can now be viewed in its entirety for free on the Very Local Gulf Coast app .
The Grand Parade of Light featured an array of lighted floats, marching bands from across the country, community organizations, local officials, clowns and performers.
The two-hour celebration wound its way from Fort Myers High School through the River District, ending with a short fireworks display near Main and Hendry streets.
