Six people were arrested early Sunday after police said the group climbed onto a damaged, gated pier marked with “No Trespassing” signs.
According to the Naples Police Department, officers responded around 1:15 a.m. to 25 12th Avenue South after dispatchers observed several people on CCTV entering the restricted area, which included a structure with visible warning signs and a chain-link fence.
The pier was closed to the public due to storm damage and ongoing construction.
The report states CCTV footage showed one of the suspects, Ashton Brown, scaling the fence to enter the area. They say he admitted to climbing and sitting on the roof of a bathroom building near the pier.
Officers confirmed that the other suspects also bypassed posted warnings to access the site.

All six were taken into custody at the scene and face misdemeanor trespassing charges.
