NCH has started planning a 250-unit workforce housing project in North Naples to help its employees live closer to their jobs. The initiative aims to address rising housing costs and retain essential workers.
The project will be located at its business center campus on Immokalee Road. It is being funded in part by a $3.5 million donation from philanthropists Jeff and Judy Henley, which will support feasibility studies, design and planning, and infrastructure assessments.
The development will include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for staff, with priority given to essential workers.
A recent internal survey showed that nearly 500 employees were interested in workforce housing, and about 30% of the organization’s workforce lives outside Collier County.
Pre-development work is expected to take up to two years before construction begins.
