An active shooter was reported on the Florida State University Campus near the student union Thursday afternoon, according to the FSU alert system.
The message was sent at 12 p.m. and reposted by Rep. Byron Donalds on X.
A follow-up message from the university at 12:19 p.m. stated:
"This is an Emergency Message for Florida State University, Tallahassee Campus. Continue to shelter in place. Police have responded to an active shooter call at the Student Union. Stay alert for more information."
