Crews in North Fort Myers responded to a fire that started from an illegal burn on April 19.
The fire broke out just before 6 p.m. along Bogart Drive.
You could see the massive smoke cloud from the Caloosahatchee River.
The dry conditions helped the fire spread quickly.
According to the North Fort Myers battalion fire chief, a person was trying to clean vegetation off their property.
The fire was eventually contained. A trailer on the property was burned, but there was no structural damage to any homes and no one was hurt.
The battalion fire chief says this is an example of why everyone should follow the burn bans.
