A man in Fort Myers was arrested on April 23 for possessing nearly 500 child pornography files.
The South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) received a tip about someone possessing child pornography. The tip came from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which was reported by Microsoft OneDrive regarding one of its subscribers.
Microsoft provided 498 files that were deemed to be pornography featuring pubescent and prepubescent children.
Through the investigation, the OneDrive account was found to belong to James Patton, 70.
Patton was arrested and charged with felony possession of child pornography.
He was taken to Lee County Jail.
