An 11-year-old girl died after drowning Sunday evening at Little Hickory Beach, according to officials.
Emergency crews were called to the beach around 6:50 p.m. and transported the child to a nearby hospital in an attempt to save her.
Bonita Fire Rescue said the girl could not swim.
Authorities have not released the child’s name.
