North Fort Myers fire crews are investigating what caused grass to catch fire overnight in Suncoast Estates, waking residents with a loud noise.
The fire started just before 1:30 a.m. along Tucker Lane, just south of Mellow Drive.
Homeowners in the area reported hearing a loud noise and waking up to find fire in the woods behind their house.
No trees caught fire, but crews are investigating.
