A North Port man was arrested on Tuesday after police say he was secretly trying to take photos up the dress of a woman at a Hobby Lobby store.
According to the North Port Police Department, they received a report of the incident over the weekend.
An unidentified male was seen using his phone to secretly take pictures up the dress of a female shopper. A witness noticed this and informed the victim, according to the police.
The suspect was then confronted, and he denied the allegations and left the store quickly.
Detectives investigated and reviewed the store's surveillance footage, which captured the incident. Officials identified the suspect as Cameron Carpenter, 23, and he was taken into custody and booked into the Sarasota County Jail.
Carpenter faces a charge of video voyeurism, which is a felony.
