A Cape Coral man won a $1 million prize from a Florida scratch-off game he purchased at a 7-Eleven.
According to the Florida Lottery on Wednesday, Benjamin Ramirez Gomez, 31, claimed his prize from the LOTERIA GRANDE scratch-off game at the Florida Lottery's headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his prize as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
Ramirez Gomez bought his winning ticket for $5 at a 7-Eleven on Santa Barbara Boulevard in Cape Coral. The store also received a $2,000 bonus commission after selling the winning ticket, according to the Florida Lottery.
The LOTERIA GRANDE scratch-off game has six top prizes of $1 million. The game offers over $62.1 million in cash prizes and overall odds of 1-in-3.97.
