"The Courts" in Cape Coral used for pickleball and tennis has gone more than $7 million over its initial construction budget.
The facility was initially supposed to cost $5 million. When it finally opened this year, it ended up costing $12.4 million.
The city says that Tropicana Park and Lake Meade Park are no longer funded by the Parks GO Bond. The Parks Project will be funded using other sources.
