South Trail Fire & Rescue responded after a solar panel system caught fire on the side of a home in The Villas Wednesday night.
Reportedly, the fire started in the battery supply bank that is connected to the rooftop solar panel system and powers the entire home.
Firefighters say Florida Power and Light secured the system and were able to power the home up again.
There was no fire or smoke damage inside the home.
