People who live and drive along McGregor Boulevard and College Parkway want the road rage shooter from Wednesday night to be held accountable.
"There's got to be more to it because the fact that they're still just out there and this could happen again is scary," Lori Kling told Gulf Coast News.
"If they said everyone's accounted for and they just charged a weapon. They should be arrested," said Charles Miller.
"I just think that there should be arrests made," said Conner Stanley.
Gulf Coast News reached out to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, which says it's actively investigating. LCSO say they know who is involved, but the victim isn't providing information to detectives, and the suspect isn't helping either.
We spoke to a Fort Myers attorney who told us this can make the LCSO's investigation way more difficult.
"It could be, attempted to, aggravated assault with a firearm which has potentially minimal mandatory sanctions again, I mean, you potentially could be asking to put someone in prison for the rest of their lives, you really want to make sure you do a good investigation and make the right arrest," said Michael Rehab.
LCSO confirmed the people involved are men in their 30's but would not identify them.
No injures were reported on Wednesday's shooting, neighbors we spoke to say they're keeping a closer eye on their surroundings.
The sheriff's office told Gulf Coast News that, since that shooting, they have increased patrols in the area where it happened and will continue to be there throughout the weekend, as this investigation continues.
