The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers' softball team had 12 players named to All-Citrus Conference teams to lead the conference in total selections as well as first-team and tying in second-team selections, the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced on Friday.
FSW had seven players on the All-Citrus Conference first team, according to FSW Athletics. Virginia Mambelli and Emily Allegood starred in the infield, Skylar Brennan and Noelani Livingstone dominated in the outfield, Leah Meyer and Lizzy Kwakernaak stood out in the circle and slugger Nicole Edmiaston was an at-large selection for the Buccaneers.
On the second-team list, the Bucs had five players recognized for their play this season. The FCSAA shared the selections of pitchers McKenzie Bailey-McDowell and Zoe Yzaguirre, outfielder Megan Veilleux, infielder Kmari Williams and catcher Faith Wharton to the All-Citrus Conference second-team. FSW and Miami Dade College both had five players selected.
Additionally, head coach Robert Iamurri was named the Citrus Conference Coach of the Year after he led the Buccaneers to their ninth straight conference title in 2025. The Bucs finished with a 49-5 record and are currently the number one team in the nation, according to the NJCAA DI Softball Poll - Week 11 as of Monday, heading into the FCSAA Championships.
FSW awaits the winner between Gulf Coast State College and Miami Dade College to face the winner on Wednesday in Clearwater.
