The Cape Coral Police Department announced it is investigating an attempted abduction that was reported Wednesday.
According to the CCPD , a juvenile said he left his home to ride his bike to his bus stop at approximately 7:30 a.m.
He told police that he sat down at a bench at Northeast 41st Street and Andalusia Boulevard when a black SUV coming southbound on Andalusia Boulevard pulled up next to him with two men inside.
He reported that the passenger opened his door and lunged at him, but he was able to get back on his bike and go home.
According to police, the men were described as white or Hispanic and around 30 years old. The driver reportedly was wearing a graphic T-shirt, and the passenger was wearing a puffy black jacket and ripped jeans. Police said the SUV possibly had front-end damage as well.
