The Village of Estero held a council meeting on Wednesday where they approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) addendum of $9,536,910 and discussed updates on the upcoming Estero Entertainment Campus.
The council's addendum to the contract with Wright Construction will lead to Wright Construction completing work at the site of the future entertainment campus and installing utilities at that price.
Initially, the project was designed by RWA in 2024, and site preparation work was awarded to Wright Construction.
The contracted price for the work is $10,489,490. However, the addendum directs Village staff to work with the company to reduce the cost below $9,550,213.
Estero then acquired land adjacent to the site which led to a re-evaluation of the original design as the village wanted that land to be a part of the entertainment campus.
A revised design was completed and then Wright Construction submitted a revised proposal regarding necessary infrastructure and utilities needed to support the next development phase. This was approved by the council.
Site work on the Estero Entertainment Campus is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2026, according to the village council meeting's agenda item summary sheet. Utilities should be completed by July 30, 2026.
