A bear was caught on camera roaming the Fort Myers Country Club area early Friday morning.
Gulf Coast News viewer Andy Sheppard sent in a video and a photo of the bear spotted around 4 a.m. along Shadow Lane, near Fort Myers Country Club off McGregor Blvd.
Another viewer also shared a picture of a bear at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery around Summerlin Road and Colonial Blvd.
It's unclear whether there are two bears or if they are the same one.
Fort Myers Police confirmed they responded, but officers did not find a bear, and the crew was ultimately cleared.
Gulf Coast News reached out to Florida Fish and Wildlife to see if they are dispatching a team to find the bear.
On Monday, a man and a dog were attacked and killed in Collier County. It was the first ever reported death by a bear in Florida.
