Scalp spas are trending on social media, offering you a day of relaxation and rejuvenation for your scalp.
"My daughter, a couple of years ago, said to me from TikTok, she's like, 'Man, I got to find this head spa place.' She wanted to go so bad. We looked, and the closest one was like Tampa," Terra Nardone said.
Now, there's one right here in Naples called Scalp Bar.
"It definitely caught my eye as a mom, and it was something I went to and I didn't know I needed in my life," Brianne Rucco said.
We went to try the treatments at Scalp Bar for ourselves, which started with owner Monica Luciano using a microscope to get up close and personal with my scalp.
"This just helps us really determine what is the really the best products to be using for you today," Luciano said.
Then it was time to sit back and relax. From a face mask to detoxify and brighten my skin, to hot, cold, and steam treatments for my scalp.
"Really detox the scalp, really get all of that dry skin and everything off your scalp. Just really, really pull out any toxins, impurities out of the scalp," Luciano said.
While you can relax during these treatments, they’re also helpful for getting your scalp back on track.
"It is such a blessing that I get to have so many members of the community trust me, and you have clients who are suffering from hair loss, from cancer treatments, and things like that," Luciano said.
Client Terra Nardone said she knows the emotions of hair loss all too well.
"I had a couple surgeries previously, like a year before, and anesthesia does a number on your hair, and I asked how do I get it to go back from falling out, from the breakage, from everything," Nardone said.
So, she started coming to Scalp Bar for help.
"The progress alone for me is amazing. I don't want to cry, but it was-- I was in a tough spot because I did have cancer. After everything I went through, it was my hair that kind of gave me like that, after surgeries, the breakage, and I didn't feel like myself," Nardone said.
Starting June first, Scalp Bar will open at their new location and be able to offer even more treatments.
