New federal regulations could change the required amount of sugar in pasteurized orange juice.
Many hope the new legislation could make it easier for Floridian citrus growers to use more of their products and less imported juice.
According to Sen. Ashley Moody, who co-introduced the bill, the reduction of sugar will not create a noticeable difference in taste.
The reduction will lower the percentage of sugar from 10.5% to just 10%.
