Four people, including three juveniles, were arrested after an armed robbery at a rented home in Southeast Cape Coral early Tuesday morning.
According to the Cape Coral Police Department, officers responded around 3:40 a.m. after a man reported being robbed by three masked males with guns at a house near Country Club Boulevard and Southeast Sixth Place.
The victim said he had been picked up earlier by a girl he recently met, who took him to the home. Once inside, the victim said three armed males burst into a bedroom, took his phone and transferred money from his account to the girl's before fleeing in her car.
While responding, an officer spotted a black Nissan sedan matching the description leaving the area. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, the driver ran away. The vehicle was later found abandoned and damaged in a driveway.
Later that day, the victim identified Gabriela Reyes, 18, as the female suspect in a photo lineup. The Nissan was registered to her mother. Reyes and her mother later reported the car stolen, but police arrested Reyes for filing a false report.
Reyes was taken to the Lee County Jail and faces charges of robbery, burglary, fleeing police, making a false report, hit and run, and driving without a license.
Police later arrested three other teens, all minors, in connection with the robbery.
Gianfranco Romero, 16, was taken into custody for violating probation and faces charges of armed robbery and burglary.
Latavious Peterson, 17, and Karmell Peterson, 16, each face charges of armed robbery and armed burglary after being identified and interviewed by detectives.
The homeowner told officers no one had permission to be in the residence and that it was not a rental property.
