A man was injured after being attacked with a deadly weapon during a home incident in Fort Myers last month.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, officers responded to a report of a burglary on April 20, around 12:50 a.m. on Dellena Lane, that was later reclassified as an assault.
A caller told dispatchers that people had broken windows and entered the house. The caller said people who were causing problems had returned to the home and broke out a window.
The caller and others locked themselves in a bathroom. After the suspects left, they reported that someone needed an ambulance and was lying on the ground.
Officers located the injured man, who was treated at Gulf Coast Hospital and later cleared as his injuries were not life-threatening.
According to the report, multiple people were involved in the incident who ran before officers arrived.
The incident is being investigated as aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
