A teenager and a convicted felon were arrested Monday after a standoff at a Naples apartment complex. Deputies say the pair are suspects in a recent armed robbery and a February shooting that left a man with a bullet lodged in his back.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Christian Jeremy Wolf, 22, and Howard Wesley Green III, 17, both of Naples, face multiple felony charges.
Deputies found the pair at the Whistler’s Green apartments off Green Boulevard. Wolf was wanted in connection with a Feb. 8 shooting in Golden Gate Estates, while Green had three active felony warrants.
Green was taken into custody on the warrants, but Wolf ran away and was later caught after a brief standoff on the roof of an apartment building.
Deputies found a gun, 43 grams of oxycodone and $1,230 in cash inside the vehicle the suspects were in.
Investigators said the items were linked to Wolf, who also caused $10,000 to $20,000 in damage by breaking a water pipe at one of the buildings.
Wolf faces charges of fleeing and eluding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking in oxycodone, resisting arrest without violence, and criminal mischief over $1,000 for the incident on Monday.
Both suspects also face charges of armed burglary, armed robbery and grand theft after a robbery on May 8, in Golden Gate Estates, where detectives said Green pulled a gun on a juvenile and stole jewelry and cash while Wolf drove the getaway car.
Wolf also faces an aggravated battery with a firearm charge after being accused of shooting an 18-year-old man twice in the back as he left a house party.
The victim was flown to a Fort Myers hospital, underwent surgery, and is recovering at home. Doctors say he will need another surgery to remove a bullet still lodged in his back.
