Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is holding the 11th annual Lionfish Festival to bring awareness to removing Lionfish from Florida waters.
Lionfish, an invasive species, damage Florida's reefs and native marine life.
The festival will include lionfish tastings, conservation and art booths, an interactive kids’ zone, and the Emerald Coast Open, the world’s largest lionfish hunting tournament, offering over $100,000 in prizes.
The festival will be happening May 17 and 18 on the Destin-Fort Walton Beach.
