UPDATE: According to the Coast Guard, Seventh District watchstanders contacted the missing boater, Wed. morning, via VHF Ch. 16. Coleman reported he wasn’t in distress and didn’t have medical concerns. Aircrews searched approximately 4,176 square miles.
Original story: The search is on for a 47-year-old boater who was last seen leaving Charlotte Harbor on Friday.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast , Dave Coleman was aboard the Colenett, a 40-foot sailing vessel headed toward the Florida Keys.
