The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is reminding the public about National Boat Safety Week.
The FWC says there are essential things that should be on every person's boat, including life vests, working flares and fire extinguishers.
It also says to make sure your person locator beacon is always working and never drink alcohol while operating your boat.
