A Fort Myers man has been arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office after being accused of robbing a business and shooting an employee.
Levi Ross Jr., 46, is suspected of entering the Royal Arcade on South Cleveland Avenue with a mask on, pointing a firearm at an employee and demanding money. During the robbery, an employee was shot in the hand.
When deputies arrived, they located Ross running through the Pine Manor neighborhood, where a foot pursuit ended with him being shocked with a Taser and taken into custody.
The shooting victim had non-life-threatening injuries. The firearm used in the robbery was located hidden in a neighboring business.
Ross is being charged with robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, shooting within an occupied private building, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, false ID to law enforcement and resisting an officer without violence.
