Fort Myers Beach town officials will swear in a new town manager on May 19 after the last one resigned.
William McKannay had his contract approved last week.
This comes after the current Town Manager Andrew Hyatt announced months ago that he was leaving after receiving threats after the town approved a controversial project of building 17-story towers at the site of the old Red Coconut RV resort.
