A man was convicted after breaking into the lanai of a Cape Coral home and exposing himself to a woman inside while she was washing dishes.
According to the State Attorney’s Office, Daulton James Reiter, 30, was found guilty by a jury of burglary, exposure of sexual organs, and resisting arrest.
The incident happened on May 14, 2024, when a woman saw a man standing on her lanai with his pants down while she was doing dishes.
A nearby witness told police the man went into a trailer and believed he lived there and rode a motorcycle.
Cape Coral police responded and approached the trailer. As they did, a man on a motorcycle wearing a helmet ran away from the scene. Investigators later identified Reiter as the suspect, and he was arrested.
Reiter is scheduled to be sentenced on July 21.
