An alligator was reported to have fallen out of the back of a truck while it was being driven in Lehigh Acres.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports that the incident happened on May 20.
After it was reported, an FWC officer responded to the scene to investigate the incident.
The FWC is still investigating and reminds the public that harvesting or possessing an alligator outside of alligator hunting season or without a permit is illegal.
