The ice bucket challenge is making a comeback online. It's raising awareness for mental health. In “Positively Gulf Coast,” the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is rising to the challenge.
In a video posted to the CCSO Facebook page , a chopper appears to be carrying gallons and gallons of ice and water in a bucket below. They're taking the push to save lives and keep the mental health conversation to new heights.
Waiting below was Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell.
“May is mental health awareness month. Chief Fair, I heard your challenge, and I accepted,” the sheriff said before getting drenched with ice and water.
Charlotte County Public Safety Director Jason Fair had challenged the sheriff to get the ice. In turn, the sheriff challenged Charlotte County Public Schools Superintendent Mark Vianello to get the ice next.
