Authorities are searching for a Lehigh Acres man who broke his probation with drug use after being convicted of abusing his pet dog.
Ivan Garcia, 24, was arrested for animal abuse when a neighbor caught him beating up his dog. When authorities arrived, they found blood splatter on the walls and the dog bleeding heavily, with a swollen eye and blunt force injuries to his head.
Garcia pleaded guilty and got 48 months' probation.
His probation was set to end in July, but in November, Garcia tested positive for marijuana and cocaine in his system, and then never reported back to his probation officer.
Garcia is 6 feet tall, 190 pounds and, upon his arrest, he will be held without bond.
