We are tracking some pretty big changes across the Gulf Coast this weekend thanks to an incoming front that will give our rain chances a boost. While the weekend will not be a complete washout, you might want to have backup plans indoors.
Showers and storms will work into DeSoto County by late Saturday morning and head south through the afternoon. Rain could reach Lee County as early as mid-to-late morning before breaking up a bit as it pushes south into Collier later in the afternoon.
With the front stalling out over South Florida this weekend, we will likely track more rain spreading in from the Gulf on Sunday morning. Both days this weekend are Gulf Coast Weather Impact Days, so be sure to stay weather-aware. Give yourself plenty of extra time if you have errands to run this weekend.
