Four boats are looking at some of their last days docked at Laishley Park.
Milton sunk the boats halfway underwater and even flipped some onto their side.
The city began fencing up the area near the boats on Laisley Court as they prepared to get rid of them before the next storm comes.
"It's been a long time coming," said seasonal resident George Giannouloudis. He said he is ready to say goodbye to these boats that didn't make it through Hurricane Milton.
"It's actually become a tourist attraction for its ugliness, I guess you could say,” Giannouloudis said. "We want to see it gone."
Visitors will see the boats get pulled out of the water starting next week.
"These things all take time, like everything else," visitor John McKenna said. "There were a lot of boats to get rid of."
"There's going to be more damage to these boats the next hurricane," his son Wyatt said.
Giannouloudis said he hopes the city doesn’t have to clean up more boats later this year.
"It's going to be another active year," Giannouloudis said. "We just hope that the trend doesn't continue of storms with the massive surge that we saw with those two hurricanes."
The work will last for about two weeks starting June 2.
The city has asked people to stay away from the pavilion and roundabout near the docks off Laishley Court.
