The week started off with rounds of rain and storms, with the potential for some storms to continue overnight.
Monday and Tuesday are Gulf Coast Weather Impact Days, with expected periods of heavy rain prompting temporary flooding concerns.
Stronger storms will be capable of producing very heavy rain, intense lightning, strong wind gusts and even small hail.
An areal flood advisory has been issued for inland parts of Collier County, including Orangetree, where communities have picked up nearly 7 inches of rain in 24 hours.
Over the next three days, rain accumulations could add up to 1 to 3 inches.
Meanwhile, off Florida's East Coast, there is a broad low-pressure system ; however, it has a low chance for tropical development as we enter the first week of hurricane season.
