Sanibel city leaders will vote on a grant to reconstruct the Periwinkle Way Bridge.
The bridge is between Sanibel Causeway and Limpet Drive.
The project is supposed to make the bridge more resilient to storm surge and flooding, while repairing the damage done by Hurricane Ian.
The Florida Department of Transportation gave Sanibel $750,000 for the design.
On June 3, the city is voting on the $2.5 million grant for construction.
