Multiple Fort Myers Police units were spotted at an apartment complex along Thomas Street.
A Gulf Coast News crew at the scene saw that part of the building was taped off with caution tape.
An FMPD official at the scene told our reporter the call was for an aggravated battery and a weapon was involved. The official also said one person is in custody.
We are working to find out more about the incident and if anyone was injured.
