The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering federal disaster loans to small businesses and private nonprofit (PNP) organizations in Florida that experienced economic losses caused by Hurricane Milton.
It's called the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. It is available to eligible small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, nurseries, and PNPs with financial losses directly caused by the hurricane.
The SBA is unable to offer these disaster loans to agricultural producers, farmers, or ranchers, except for aquaculture enterprises.
The loan is available even if the small business or PNP did not suffer any physical damage. The loans may be used to pay debts, give payroll, and pay other bills not paid due to the disaster.
