A man was convicted in Collier County on June 11 after being arrested for trafficking cocaine.
The narcotics chief assistant state attorney and assistant state attorney prosecuted the case.
Idris Kennord Walters, 46, was arrested in 2020 on his way back from picking up a trafficking amount of cocaine on the East Coast of Florida. The vehicle he was in was being watched, and a traffic stop was attempted. The car did not stop, and Walters threw cocaine out of the window. Stop sticks were then used by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, and Walters was arrested with two other people.
Walters' sentencing is scheduled for June 16.
