A suspected old air-drop bomb from World War II washed up on Englewood Beach on Saturday evening.
Sarasota Bomb squad and Explosive Ordnance Disposal from MacDill Airforce Base arrived on scene and determined that the bomb was not explosive and safe to remove. It was taken away by the MacDill team.
The scene has now been cleared.
