A teenager was arrested after police said he stole two cars, including one from a condo parking lot, and caused damage that may be tied to a hit-and-run. The 14-year-old boy, identified by authorities, is facing multiple charges after incidents that spanned several days across Cape Coral and nearby areas.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, officers responded around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, to a report of a stolen vehicle near Chiquita Boulevard South and Southwest 50th Street.
The caller said their silver 2015 Chevrolet Camaro had been taken overnight from their condo’s parking lot. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside and about $50 in cash, a Venmo credit card and tools.
Detectives began investigating and suspected the theft was linked to other incidents in the area.
The next evening, officers found the abandoned Camaro near Southwest 8th Street and Skyline Boulevard.
By Thursday, detectives documented damage to the vehicle, which had been returned to its owner. Investigators believe the suspect may have crashed the car while driving into a Cape Harbour parking garage.
On June 4, detectives alerted the Lee County Sheriff’s Office about another overnight vehicle theft, this time of a silver Chrysler 200.
The next day, around 1:50 a.m., a deputy found the Chrysler and attempted a traffic stop.
A deputy said the car turned onto a dead-end street, and a male and female inside ran away. The deputy caught the boy, identified as Justin Adamson, 14, who they say spontaneously admitted he knew the car was stolen. A 14-year-old girl was also detained.
Fingerprints from the Chrysler tied Adamson to the theft. He was arrested on charges including obstruction, marijuana possession and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
Authorities later linked him to the Camaro theft in Cape Coral, where he allegedly caused extensive damage.
Investigators also found that Adamson had burglarized a Ford F-150 before stealing the Camaro and had taken money from a relative’s bank bag in another incident.
