A Lee County man is being held without bond after accusations of tying a man up with zip ties and holding him for ransom.

Lee County deputies reported that Nicolas Flores arranged to meet a friend interested in purchasing his PlayStation 5.

The two met inside Flores’ home on Candlelight Drive. During the arranged meet-up, the transaction went awry, and Flores allegedly pulled out a machete and choked the victim.

The victim's legs and wrists were reportedly bound with zip ties and duct tape. Deputies said Flores transferred money from the victim's bank account into his own.

The victim is currently recovering in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

During a Thursday motion hearing held at 8:30 a.m., the judge ruled that Flores will be held without bond.

Flores is expected to appear in court on Aug. 11 for his arraignment.
