UPDATE: Fort Myers Police arrest man accused of shooting victim in armed robbery

UPDATE Aug. 12:

The Fort Myers Police Department arrested the man accused of shooting someone during an armed robbery at a gas station.

Police arrested Bryson Giddens on Tuesday for armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was sent to the hospital for their injuries.

Fox 4 is working to learn more about the crime and how Giddens was caught.

The Fort Myers Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a shooting from Sunday night.

An officer told us this post is a photo of the suspect:

The department told Fox 4 the shooting happened outside of a gas station on Palm Beach Boulevard around 6:30 p.m.

The victim was hospitalized, though their condition as of Monday morning is not known.
