Three Oaks Middle School student arrested for Tik Tok threat

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office says an eighth-grade student at Three Oaks Middle School was arrested for posting a threat on Tiktok.

Joseph Caruso, Jr., 14, has been charged with making an electronic threat of violence.

Deputies say an investigation was immediately launched after they were notified of the post.

Investigators say the original post mentioned Three Oaks Middle School; however, the threat itself never referenced a specific school in Lee County.

The sheriff's office, in conjunction with the FBI Task Force, was traced back to Caruso.

Detectives contacted him and confirmed that the threat came from his account.
