Peaceful protests organized by the No King's movement are set to take place across the country on Saturday, with several events happening in Southwest Florida.
In 2024, a drone captured the large crowds gathered at the intersection of US 41 and Daniels Parkway.
Law enforcement agencies are preparing for the events with increased security measures.
"As with any event of this nature, LCSO remains vigilant and will increase patrols to ensure the safety and security of those participating in the protest as well as the general public," said the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
"We have plans in place to allow protesters' right to peaceful protest while also protecting our community," said the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
"Officers will be in the area to facilitate a lawful and orderly demonstration, safeguard everyone's rights, and minimize any disruption to the community," said Deputy Chief Anthony Thompson of the Sanibel Police Department.
"We are aware of the protest and have been in communication with the organizer. We will be prepared," said the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
The No King's events will occur at various times Saturday morning in locations including Englewood, Port Charlotte, Sanibel, Naples, and the intersection of US 41 and Daniels Parkway in Lee County.
