Charlotte HS searches for new football coach

Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda has started its search for a new head football coach, according to Athletic Director Tom Massolio. This decision follows four years under Coach Cory Mentzer.

The school's football program, with its 100-year history, is known for its tradition and competitive success. Massolio emphasized the school's commitment to supporting student-athletes during this transition.

"Our focus is now on supporting our student-athletes through this transition," Massolio said in a released statement.

He expressed confidence in finding a leader who embodies "Tarpon Pride" to continue the program's success into its next century.
