Deputies search for missing and endangered Port Charlotte teen diagnosed with autism found safe

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search for a missing teenager diagnosed with autism in Port Charlotte.

On Thursday, deputies announced the search for Leonidas M. Fain, 17, after reports of him leaving on foot upon arriving at Port Charlotte High School via the bus.

At 10:30 a.m., deputies updated the search saying that Fain was found safe.

The sheriff’s office categorized the situation as a missing endangered juvenile due to his existing diagnosis.
